It’s been almost a year since the release of the beloved 1989 classic, Turner & Hooch, and fans have been eagerly awaiting news of a potential season 2. Unfortunately, there has been no official word from Disney+ or any other streaming service about the future of the show.
The original movie starred Tom Hanks as Scott Turner, a police detective who inherits a slobbery French Mastiff named Hooch. The two form an unlikely bond as they work together to solve a murder case. The movie was a huge success, grossing over $71 million at the box office and becoming a cult classic.
Since then, fans have been clamoring for a sequel or a reboot of the beloved movie. Unfortunately, there has been no news of a season 2 or any other continuation of the story.
That being said, there is still hope for a season 2. Disney+ has been known to revive classic films and shows, such as The Muppets and The Mighty Ducks. It’s possible that the streaming service could decide to bring back Turner & Hooch for a second season.
In addition, the original movie’s director, Roger Spottiswoode, has expressed interest in returning to the franchise. He has said that he would love to make a sequel and that he has some ideas for the story.
At this point, it’s impossible to say whether or not Turner & Hooch will be renewed for a second season. However, fans can take comfort in the fact that the original movie’s director is interested in returning to the franchise and that Disney+ has a history of reviving classic films and shows.
Only time will tell if Turner & Hooch will be renewed for a second season. Until then, fans can keep their fingers crossed and hope for the best.
It appears that Disney+ will not be going to the dogs. Turner & Hooch has been cancelled by the streaming provider, which means there will be no second season.
In the Turner & Hooch TV programme, which is a comedy series, the characters are a continuation of the characters from the 1989 film of the same name. Josh Peck, Carra Patterson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Vanessa Lengies, Brandon Jay McLaren, Jeremy Maguire, Anthony Ruivivar, Reginald VelJohnson, and Becca Tobin feature in the film, which is directed by Jeremy Maguire.
Hooch, a huge, boisterous, and slobbery French Mastiff named Hooch, is inherited by Scott Turner (Peck), an ambitious and buttoned-up US Marshal, much like his father (Tom Hanks in the movie).
He quickly discovers that the dog he didn’t want may potentially be the mate he’s been looking for all along. Laura (Fonseca), Scott’s kind and animal-loving sister, as well as Matthew Garland (Maguire), Laura’s dog-loving son, are all members of his extended family. Jessica Baxter is Scott’s courageous and street-smart coworker at the company (Patterson).

Xavier Wilson (McLaren) is a calm and enigmatic marine who has been promoted to the position of US Marshal. Chief James Mendez (Ruivivar) is Scott’s supervisor, and he has a soft spot for Hooch in his heart as well. Erica Mounir (Lengies) is the eccentric director of the United States Marshals Service’s canine training programme.
The first season, which consisted of 12 episodes, premiered in July and was completed by the end of October. While the Turner & Hooch series appeared to be a hit with Disney+ viewers, the Turner & Hooch series earned mostly negative reviews from reviewers. It appears that episode 12 marked the conclusion of the series.
Despite the fact that Disney+ has not officially confirmed the series’ cancellation, members of the cast believe it is unlikely. Guest actor Matt Hamilton shared McLaren’s response to a fan’s wish for season two on Twitter, which was then reposted by McLaren.
Don’t hold your breath. You’ll die.

VelJohnson, a veteran of the film and the series, told ComicBook.com,
“Well, as far as I know, they’re trying to sell it to another network or something like that. That’s what I heard. But as of now, it’s not going to be picked up, I don’t think. It was fun to do. And working with the actors was great fun and I hope so, whatever they decided to do I’m with it. It’s okay. I enjoy doing the sequel and, hopefully, we’ll have some time to do it again. But if not, I was glad for the experience.”
