Tony Stark ends up on a new planet
This version is partially confirmed by Jeff Goldbaum himself. It is said that Tony Stark does not come back to earth in the first part of the Avengers movie. What if Stark had ended up on a different planet and engaged in a Ragnarok-like fight?
The Watcher in What if…?
The series is told from a third perspective. An omniscient narrator narrates the various incidents taking place in the multiverse. The narrator himself is from another planet. He is the one who sees it all but must never interfere. He is introduced to us as Uatu.

Why Marvel picked animated series
Animation series has been a popular choice whenever it came down to the stories of an expansive universe. Marvel’s Universe is humongous. There are always a host of characters and incidents and the stories keep branching out. It is nearly impossible to allow the needed time to make these ventures in movie forms. Animated series makes it far easier to follow this storyline into the future.
What if is Marvel’s first foray into making animated series. Victoria Alonso, Marvel Studios VP has said that this is only the beginning of many more animated adventures that are yet to come. Initially, 30 parts were chosen from the list of pivotal incidents and 10 parts were selected.
A lot of main characters will be voiced by different actors. Some actors who played the original roles will reprise through voiceover.
