‘Venom 2’ Delayed Until 2021: Title Reveal and Other Updates

It’s been a long wait for fans of the Marvel Comics anti-hero Venom, but the wait is finally over. After months of speculation, Sony Pictures has finally revealed the title of the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 blockbuster, Venom 2. The movie is officially titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage and is set to be released in 2021.

The news was announced on the official Venom Twitter account, which also revealed a first look at the movie’s logo. The logo features the iconic Venom symbol, with the words “Let There Be Carnage” written in a bold font.

The sequel to the 2018 movie will see Tom Hardy reprising his role as Eddie Brock, the journalist who becomes the host of the alien symbiote Venom. The movie will also feature Woody Harrelson as the villain Cletus Kasady, a serial killer who becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage.

The movie was originally scheduled to be released in October 2020, but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the release date has been pushed back to June 25, 2021.

The movie is being directed by Andy Serkis, who is best known for his motion capture performances in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Planet of the Apes reboot. The movie is being written by Kelly Marcel, who wrote the screenplay for the first Venom movie.

The sequel is expected to be a darker and more violent movie than the first, as it will focus on the relationship between Eddie Brock and Cletus Kasady. Fans are also expecting to see more of the alien symbiotes, as well as some of the other characters from the Marvel Comics universe.

With the title reveal and the new release date, fans of Venom can finally start counting down the days until the movie’s release. Until then, we’ll just have to wait and see what other surprises Sony Pictures has in store for us.
