When it comes to producing movies after a Masterpiece like Avengers: Endgame, it is only Marvel Studios who can dare to do so. For the Marvel fans, they are again waiting for a delicious treat from their favorite MCU. With expectations skyrocketing and extreme pressure and constant hype, Marvel is to face one of its toughest challenges yet. Thor: Love and Thunder is a must-watch.

The movie has a lot to offer. Marvel fans expect an insane level of action, a different timeline, a host of new characters who will be seen for the first time — all this drove the fans to a crazy level of ambition. Even though the production house has been mysteriously tight-lipped and released only the first official trailer, it looks like they are up for the challenge.

The release of the trailer has already added to the hype. Christ Pratt, himself, star lord, has said the movies are next–level. Chris Hemsworth, Thor, took to Instagram and let the fans catch a glimpse of his super-intense training.

Adaptation of Thor: Love and Thunder

The main Marvel Comics of Thor was created by Late Stan Lee. This screenplay was written by Taika Waititi and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.

Plot of Thor: Love and Thunder

The movies start from the point where the Avengers endgame ended. Thor has realized much earlier that war is not to be courted and nor did he wish to burden himself with kingship. So the Asgardian God of Thunder decides to travel along with the Guardians of the Galaxy (thus calling the team Asgardians of Galaxy). This happy journey doesn’t last much longer. After boarding Benetar, Thor travels with the GOG for a while. But he must go on to his solo journey as a lot is still to be sorted out. In this movie, we find that Thor’s mantle is to be given to Jane Foster, who on earth suffers from cancer. On the other hand Valkyrie searches for a new queen.

Thor: Post Ragnarok

After Ragnorak this is the fourth solo movie on Thor. In this movie, as seen in the trailer there is an explosion of events and actions that take place. 

Thor loses everything, as found in the previous movies. There is a lot of personal grief to be processed. This Odinson must return to his home to get ready for this next battle here. 

There is a chance that Thor might gather his team the Revengers. But at this point, it’s just speculation.

Loki will be missed

In Endgame, Loki was killed by Thanos. The brilliant God of Mischief and his innocent pranks(which might be life-threatening ) will not be seen in this movie. But nothing to be sad about, not too long anyway! Because you can catch Loki on the Netflix series Loki.

Jane Foster the next Thor?

After a long time, the physicist and Thor’s ex-flame returns. Jane Foster was last seen in Thor: Dark World. This is her comeback movie. In her last adventure with Thor, she came across with “ether” that almost killed her. 

Strong chances are that Jane becomes the worthy wielder of the Hammer. 

Thor – Quill rivalry continues

Actor Chris Pratt has acknowledged that the comical chemistry between Quill and Thor won’t change much. The rivalry was presented for the first time in Guardians of Galaxy Volume 2. Fans seem to have to like it so it goes on. 

The Supervillain: Gorr the God Butcher

This role will be introduced and Gorr will be played by Christian Bale. 

Gorr the God butcher does sound scary and cruel. But this hasn’t been the case from the beginning. Gorr used to be a devoted disciple of God. He had faith. But when his prayers remain unanswered for a long time and he ends up losing his wife and children, he loses his sanity as well. He decides Gods don’t exist. But his people don’t take God’s idea lightly. His tribe turns out to be a cult of religious fanatics who condemn Gorr to die for believing in God. . But later on, when Gorr is alive, he finds that Gods do exist. They just don’t answer prayers. This realization makes Gorr the God–killer. 

In this movie, he will face Thor (or two Thors?) We will see if he lives to tell the tale. 

New Faces

Even though old faces from Ragnarok, like Thor, Valkyrie, Lady Sif, and Korg will be back, Russell Crowe will be the face of Zeus and will be debuting in MCU. Christian Bale and Vin Diesel too will have interesting roles in the latest MCU adventure.

Director of Thor: Love and Thunder

Taika Waititi is well known for his Thor: Ragnarok. The humorous presentation of the storyline was a refreshing and much nicer respite.

Even Chris Hemsworth liked it so much, he went on to say that he would love to play the role of Thor in this approach. Waititi’s creativity is again to be witnessed in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.

The expected release dates are 20th Feb 2022 and 6th May 2022.

Conclusion

Needless to say, the movie is a greatly anticipated one. With a lot of new faces, new powers, and different planets of the Galaxy, it will take you to an unimaginable intergalactic battle.

The movie is going to be one of the most important ones because it has a lot to prove to the fans and as well as to themselves, regarding their Future adventures. 

Now, all we can do is wait and wait and hopefully be surprised with the amazing masterpiece.
