When Will ‘Halloween Ends’ Be Released?
On October 14, 2022, the film Halloween Ends will be released in theaters. The picture was set to debut on October 15, 2021, but after Halloween Kills was delayed a year, the threequel had no choice but to follow suit.

Was ‘Halloween Kills’ and ‘Halloween Ends’ shot simultaneously?
That was the original intention for the slasher sequels, but it didn’t work out. Andi Matichak claimed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the shooting schedule for Halloween Kills was so hectic and ambitious that shooting the two films back-to-back would have been impossible.
One of the actors who play Michael Myers, James Jude Courtney, indicated that filming will begin in January, giving the final picture a faster turnaround than the previous two films.
Will ‘Halloween Ends’ director David Gordon Green return?
Green will, in fact, return to direct and co-write the sequel with Danny McBride. With Paul Brad Logan (Manglehorn) and Chris Bernier, two new faces will join the pair in penning the picture (The House: A Hulu Halloween Anthology). Green will be quite busy for the next two years, since he will be directing a sequel trilogy to The Exorcist for Blumhouse, featuring Academy Award contender Leslie Odom Jr and Ellen Burstyn reprising her legendary role as Chris MacNeil.
Green will also be directing the pilot of the HBO series Hellraiser, which is still in development. It’s too early to tell, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a theater exclusive or if it debuts on Peacock on the same day it hits cinemas. Blum now wishes for the finished film to be a theater exclusive, but nothing is etched in stone owing to the unpredictable nature of everything.
