What is the Plot of Bridesmaid Movie?
Annie Walker is a single woman in her mod thirties and she is living in Milwaukee. Annie’s bakery get failed due to recent recession and it leads to wiping out her savings and causes her boyfriend leaving her.
She has lost her passion and working a stressful, unpaid job at jewelry store and shares an apartment with weird British immigrant siblings Gil and Bryann. Moreover, Annie has a casual sexual relationship with the rich and self absorbed Ted and he treats her like an object.
The only positive person in her life is her lifelong best friend Lillian and when she is got engaged to her boyfriend she asks Annie to become her maid of honor.
Annie then meets Lillian’s bridesmaids Rita, Becca, Megan and Helen. Annie and Helen are quickly jealous of each other’s friendship with Lillian and becomes extremely competitive for her attention.

The review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes has given the movie 89% ratings which are based on 294 reviews with an average rating of 7.5 out of 10 ratings. The website states for the movie as –

Metacritic gave the movie a score of 75 out of 100 which is based on reviews from 39 critics, and stated that –“generally favorable reviews”.
Roger Ebert gave the film 3.5 stars of out 4, and said that
Bridesmaids “seems to be a more or less deliberate attempt to cross the Chick Flick with the Raunch Comedy. It definitely proves that women are the equal of men in vulgarity, sexual frankness, lust, vulnerability, overdrinking and insecurity … Love him or not, Judd Apatow is consistently involved with movies that connect with audiences.”
Critic Owen Gleiberman of Entertainment Weekly pointed out the significance of Bridesmaids‘ success as follows: “So far, the message that Hollywood seems to have taken from the incredible success of Bridesmaids is a predictably reductive one, something along the lines of: Hey, look! Raunchy comedies for women with awesome grossout scenes in the middle of them can be big box office too!!
