DC Extended Universe’s Supergirl Movie Reportedly On Hold

It looks like the DC Extended Universe’s (DCEU) plans for a Supergirl movie are on hold. According to reports, Warner Bros. has put the project on the backburner in order to focus on other projects.

The news comes as a surprise to many fans, as the studio had been developing a Supergirl movie for some time. The project was first announced in 2018, with Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) attached to write the script. Since then, there had been no updates on the project, leading many to believe that it had been shelved.

However, it appears that the project is still in development, but Warner Bros. has decided to focus on other projects first. This includes the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984, as well as the upcoming The Batman and The Suicide Squad.

It’s unclear when the studio will return to the Supergirl project, but it’s likely that it won’t be anytime soon. This is a shame, as the character has a lot of potential for a great movie. Supergirl is one of the most popular female superheroes in the DC universe, and a movie could be a great way to introduce her to a wider audience.

For now, fans will have to wait and see if Warner Bros. ever returns to the project. Until then, they can enjoy the other DCEU movies that are currently in development.
